Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed that the Foxes are poised to complete the signing of Nigeria and Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho “soon”.
According to Leicester Mercury, Srivaddhanaprabha confirmed Leicester will sign “at least one more” player this transfer window, with Iheanacho expected to become the club’s fourth signing of the summer.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola had earlier confirmed that Iheanacho is set to leave the club with the striker not included on their pre-season tour.
Leicester have reportedly made a £25 million offer for Iheanacho.
“Yes, we have interest in him (Iheanacho),” the Leicester executive said.
“But we have to wait for Manchester City’s stance on this, as they are still in their pre-season as well. If it happens, it will be soon.
