The popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, Charles Oputa, aka, Charley Boy, in conjunction with #OccupyUNLIMITED & Be The Change Organisation have concluded arrangement to occupy the National Assembly, RMAFC and other governmental institutions that are involved in wasteful spending of public resources.
Charley Boy, who described himself as the President of frustrated Nigerians, “my constituency has always been the youths and the vulnerable in the society?
He lamented the typical attitude of Nigerians, who expect things to change without, first, changing themselves. “Until Nigerians change their perception, nobody can do anything about our situation. We must change our attitude in order to recover our stolen country.”
While giving background to the Group’s effort, the co-convener of the Group, Retson Tedheke, noted that, “Nigeria is blessed in everything, yet, so poor in all things. He explained that, ‘Be The Change’ is aimed at making people to realize what they have. Mr Tedheke revealed that, starting from 15 December, the Group will start ‘UNLIMITED’ occupation of government institutions, beginning with NASS and they will remain resolute until their demands are met. Among the group’s eight point demands, according to Tedheken, is that, National Assembly must comply fully, with the Treasury Single Account, TSA.
