Renowned Afro-pop music star, 9ice narrowly escaped an armed robbery attack in Lagos days back.

Sources claim the artist was attacked at about midnight of Sunday 6 November at Town Planning Way in Ilupeju, Lagos.

9ice was going to perform at a show on the Island and driving towards the Anthony Village bridge to link up Gbagada Expressway when a SUV with four armed men inside blocked his Mercedes Benz car.

The source said immediately the singer saw the hoodlums advancing towards his car; he quickly put the car in reverse and turned towards Coker Road in Ilupeju.

9ice recent single “Economy” has done well to restore him to the limelight after he took a break to pursue his political career.
