Paul Le Guen changes his mind, says he won’t coach Super Eagles

Frenchman Paul Le Guen has reportedly rejected the Nigeria Football Federationโ€™s offer to lead the Super Eagles as Technical Adviser.

The big question is why did the NFF announce him as the new coach of the Super Eagles if they know there was no such agreement on ground?

According to reports, the 52-year-old rejected the offer because the Glass House failed to meet his terms and conditions.

Herve Penot, a reporter at Lโ€™ Euipe,ย wrote via his handle @hpenot_lequipe: โ€œPaul Le Guen rejects Nigeria. Frenchman insists the countryโ€™s FA (NFF) yet to meet terms & conditions to be coach.โ€

The NFF on Monday named Frenchman Paul Le Guen as the new manager of the Super Eagles.

The detail was made public by the Technical and Development Committee of the Federation.

Le Guen led the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals. As a player he stared for Brest, Nantes and Paris Saint Germain and won 17 caps for France. He later coached Rennes, Lyon, PSG (in France) and Glasgow Rangers (in Scotland). He has also managed Oman.
