Alright, settle down ladies ad gentlemen, Mastercard has officially changed the game.
Mastercard is rolling out a new feature that will allow cardholders make payments online using a picture of themselves or a fingerprint as verification.
Hold up on that excitement for a minute, the new feature is only rolling out inย United States, Canada, United Kingdom and some other European countries and is basically to combat the rising incidence of credit card fraud and identity theft.
I idly wonder why Nigeria was excluded.
The feature will require you to blink each time you use it which means you can’t use a previously taken selfie. You will take a new selfie each time you make a purchase.
Aren’t you grateful you now have an excuse to take endless selfies now?
