After four weeks of exciting semi-final rounds, the continent’s most entertaining talent hunt show; Nigeria’s Got Talent ended its semi-final rounds with the last set of acts that who left Nigerians in amazement over the weekend.
The first dance act for the night was The Crazy Twins from Ibadan. Their dance drama presentation was described as very entertaining and captivating by the judges. The audience were also in agreement to that as a result of their unending applauses. “We love to entertain and make people laugh, which is why we started doing dance drama. This show has also helped us to gain more experience in our field, said Rasheed Balogun and Endurance Edopayi, also known as The Crazy Twins. The Xplanashun was another dance group that brought not only entertainment but also great energy. “I love your energy, your co-ordination and dance moves”, said Kate Henshaw.
Boniface Ukeme was one dancer who didn’t disappoint the judges as he brought back the same standard and also energy level that he showcased during his audition. Dan Foster said, “You dance like a professional. That was fantastic, flawless and of international standard”, after his choreography performance.
Jesse and Ogeh were also able to able to bring the house down with their smooth but very professional ballet performance to Brymo’s song, ‘Ara’. “Your dance was smooth, professional and very expressive,” said
Kate Henshaw. The last dance act was the Kelly’s Family Dance Group. Though their dance moves didn’t impress the judges, they pleaded with their fans to keep them in the competition as they promised better acts next time.
There was another exciting act, though different from dance, left Nigerians asking for more – Taiwo Theophilus, a footballer. He’s act which involved ball juggling, balancing of the ball on a bottle and his
nose as well as other contemporary football stunts, left the judges and audience in marvel of his level of balance and professionalism. “Football is what I am born to do, what I am known for and what I will always be proud to do. It makes the nation stand as one and also promotes friendship. I believe that the skill that I have in football and the effort that I have put in it, will not only make me great on the field but also in the world at large,” he said.
Other amazing acts were Kareem David; an acrobatics group, Abel Tolulope; a saxophonist and Princess Jennifer; a rapper.
From dance, to drama, to football, Nigeria’s Got Talent has shown each weekend that there is always something to look forward to. The show continues next week Sunday with the ten finalists who will be performing for a chance to win your votes.
