In anticipation of Season 9 of the prestigious reality show, Big Brother Naija star, Doyin David has reacted to some popular concerns from fans about the just concluded All Stars edition held in 2023.
Speaking with media personality, Femi Daniel on his podcast, Doyin David first addressed her relationship with fellow housemate, Pere Egbi with whom she had a heated argument in the house that almost got physical.
“Pere and I are cool. I knew he wasn’t going to hit me in that moment. He’s not stupid. He knows hitting me would get him automatically disqualified”.
Doyin David addressed the reports that the reunion was cancelled because so few housemates showed up, stating that she truly wanted it to happen.
“I wanted it to happen. Maybe people just felt like ‘What’s the point?’. However, I think it’s for the best that it’s not happening. I think it’d have been very toxic. We’d just be reopening a lot of baggage and bad wounds that people just want to leave concealed”.
On her thoughts about the fans of the Big Brother Naija show being toxic, Doyin David replied, “The fans are a necessary evil. They are necessary but they are evil. I will say the fans are doing what they’re supposed to do. They are supposed to create this rivalry and talk about the show. I don’t get upset because they are doing what they’re supposed to do”.
Doyin David first participated in the Big Brother Naija Show in 2022 and returned the following year for the All-Stars edition.
The Big Brother Naija show is set to return to your screens on July 28 for its ninth season which promises to be one for the books!
