Supreme Court Upholds Kogi Governor’s Election

The Supreme Court has upheld Yahaya Bello as the winner of the last gubernatorial election held in Kogi State.

Dismissing the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Musa Wada, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honourable Justice Ibrahim Tanko, who led the seven-man panel held that the appeal was without merit.

The judgment of the Supreme Court is in line with the concurrent decisions of the trial tribunal and the Court of Appeal as regards the gubernatorial elections which held on November 16, 2019.
