The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy has announced on his Twitter page that Babajide Sanwo-olu, Lagos State Governor is set to commemorate his one year in office with commissioning of projects. First, the Governor would be commissioning housing, education, transportation and road projects virtually and also on-site which shows that the Governor kept to his word in fulfilling his promises.
The Governor will also be visiting Ikorodu to commission the 360 units Lagos homes Igbogbo Baiyeku IBB Estate and to also commission the Courtland Villas in Femi Okunnu Estate, Lekki. He will also be commissioning virtually the completed classroom blocks in Maya Secondary School, Ikorodu, Eva Adelaja Junior School, Bariga and Saviour Primary School, Ifako-Ijaiye among others. He will also commission virtually the Concrete Jetty in Baiyeku, Ikorodu, Aradagun-Ajido-Epeme road in Badagry and the Maryland Signalisation Project.
The Commissioner also said, “however, prior to May 29, Governor Sanwo-Olu will deliver a Children’s Day address on May 27, which coincides with the 53rd anniversary of Lagos State.The anniversary commemorative events are instructively low-key to reflect the realities and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not a time to engage in any elaborate celebrations”.
