‘We Are Investigating Alleged Airstrike On Soldiers’ – Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Discloses
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disclosed that it will be investigating viral reports that its officers murdered some soldiers.
Per these viral reports, these members of the Nigerian Air force killed these members of the Army because they thought they were members of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
The background story was in a video that has gone viral. The video captured the moment a soldier in the North East making wild allegations that members of the Nigerian Army were attacked by an Air Force coordinated airstrike in Mainok, Maiduguri after they were mistaken for Boko Haram terrorists.
This video has called for the necessary reaction from the Air Force who disclosed in a series of tweets posted on its official handle that it is investigating the alleged incident.
The tweets added that the general public will be duly updated as soon as the investigation is concluded.
