No State in Nigeria is Covid-19 Free: NCDC DG

Chikwe Ihekweazu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) the nation’s capital disclosed that no state in the country was free from the Coronavirus disease. He said this during the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja in response to a question about certain states who declared themselves free from Coronavirus.

He said, “No country in the world is COVID-19 free. Even New Zealand, that is an island state is still having new cases after a period of not having any.” The Director-General however stressed the importance of testing and urged the people to get tested and be certain of their health status for Covid-19.
