SAKHUMZI RESTAURANT MANAGER GUNNED DOWN
Police have confirmed that the manager of Sakhumzi Restaurant in Vilakazi Street, Soweto has been shot dead.
It’s understood that two men entered the restaurant in the early hours of Sunday morning while staff were cashing up, but the 60-year-old man refused them entry, saying that the establishment was closed.
The police’s Kay Makhubele says: “One of the suspects took out a firearm and shot at him several times. He died at the scene, and we’re investigating a case of murder and armed robbery. So far no suspects have been arrested.”
