The wife of Nigeria’s vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo has advised Nigerian women to adopt periodic self-evaluation of an all-round development for possible adjustment.
Speaking at a two-day National Women Conference organised by Osun Officers’ Wives Association in Osogbo, Osinbajo stressed the importance of self-assessment as catalyst to development.
Mrs Osinbajo, who spoke on the theme of the conference: “Virtuous Woman: Pushing for Greater Development”, noted that women are expected to be harbinger of virtues that are worthy of emulation by their children and the society at large. This further helps to mark the international women’s day for women which is celebrated on the 8th of March every year.
The wife of the Vice President lamented the recent abduction of school girls in Yobe State, blaming the occurrence on moral decadence on the society.
Governor Aregbesola coordinated special prayers for the return of the abducted girls, describing the abduction as extremely painful.
The host of the conference, Sherifat Aregbesola charged participants to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the two-day National Conference.
