Why Breakfast Is Important

Most people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day but less than half of these people actually do eat breakfast. It is understandable because it is harder to do something when you don’t know the reason behind it.

  •  Breakfast helps provide the body with fuel; when the body is asleep, it is said to be fasting so when you are awake your body needs energy to make it function properly. It makes the muscles and brain work better

  •  Breakfast also gives you the chance to get vitamins and nutrients from healthy foods like dairy and fruits

  •  Breakfast curbs the unhealthy urge to snack on high fat, high sugar foods that will most likely get you fat

  •  Breakfast increases your metabolism; it is the fire that burns calories. If you don’t eat breakfast, calories are slow to burn

  •  Skipping breakfast is said to reduce spatial and short term memory

  • Breakfast helps improve your mood; breakfast contains important nutrients that will give you the boost of positive energy for your day

  • Skipping breakfast negatively affects mental performance
