Errrm, Lagosians will have a rare opportunity to watch some 10 top Nollywood films today (Friday), as a part of the ongoing Lagos @50 celebration.
They are Kunle Afolayan’s new film, Roti, which will premiere at the IMAX Cinema in Lekki.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is expected to be among the dignitaries and other stakeholders that will see the work.
Multiple award-winning 76 will also be screened in Epe.
Another film on the list is The Wedding Party, produced by Mo Abudu, will be going to Badagry.
Ace comedian, Ayo Makun‘s produced movie A Trip to Jamaica, will be screened in Ikeja.
Another big one that Lagosians will have the advantage to watch is Steve Gukas-directed 93 Days, a dramatisation of Nigeria’s battle against Ebola, the heroine of which was Stella Adadevoh, whose role is played by Bimbo Akintola. It will be shown in Epe.
With the harvest of films to be shown today, the organising committee said Lagos was re-asserting itself as the primary market for films and other forms of entertainment in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Other film to be shown include Relentless (Lagos Island) and Gidi Blues (Badagry).
