Aggrieved parents of prospective students of the University of Lagos have dragged the University of Lagos as well as the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to church today. They’re set to ask the court to put a stop to the sale of post UTME forms after JAMB declared a large number of students “ineligible” to sit for the post UTME examinations.
The parents are kicking against the alleged new admission procedure which has raised the cut off mark for five universities to 250 as opposed to the 180 JAMB earlier announced.
After an initial protest at the University campus on Wednesday, the University authorities shut the school gate. The university authorities claim they had nothing to do with the exclusion of certain students and they were only working with the list of students JAMB sent to them.
Corruption everywhere, even in the educational sectors.
