As part of The Future Project’s (TFP) drive to empower young people as they prepare to join the workforce, TFP is premiering “Ready. Set. Work.” a job fair that will assist young entrants into the job market and make them more appealing to potential employees.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in 2015 (2nd quarter), a total number of 77.1% of young people between ages 15-34 in the labor force are either employed or underemployed. While concerns have been raised on the statistics, efforts are being made towards motivating young people by providing necessary support systems.
Speakers for the program include Opeyemi Awoyemi Co-Founder, Jobberman; John-Paul Ugbe, HR Manager, Unilever; Rotimi Matthew, Director General, Institute Of Mentoring And Career Coaching Nigeria amongst others.
