Taylor Swift has reportedly purchased duplex penthouses worth $20 million in New York City.
The Love Story hitmaker is allegedly the mystery buyer of two luxury units in the Big Apple’s TriBeCa district, properties that were previously owned by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.
She began hunting for a house in the city in January and people were seen moving furniture into the building, in which Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also reside, this week.
The apartment in the 11-unit building was put up for sale by New Zealand-native Peter last May for $20 million and, according to official property records, he finally sold them to a mystery buyer last month.
The filmmaker bought both top floor residences in 2008 for $17.35 million.
He knocked down the walls to create one huge home, with 10 bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and originally listed it as one unit last year.
However after failing to attract a buyer, he separated the space into two properties again and put them on the market for $14.85 million and $5.1 million.
The records show that both homes were sold on the same day for $19.95 million to one mystery buyer, rumoured to be the young country singer.
Another listing in the building sold for $6 million recently but an insider insisted Taylor was not the buyer.
The blonde beauty, who is said to be worth over $220 million, paid $11 million in cash for her mansion in Rhode Island, New England, in 2012.
The impressive property has five bedrooms and was Taylor’s fourth home.
