Maurizio Sarri refused Guardiola’s handshake after watching his team get embarrassed by Guardiola’s men in their premier league clash on Sunday.
City ran away 6-0 winners in an extremely one-sided game that ended as a contest as early as the 25th minutes as City’s fast start saw them score four goals in 25 minutes.
Sterling opened the floodgates in the fourth minute after Chelsea were caught napping and Aguero doubled the lead with a brilliant right foot curler not long after.
Chelsea were stunned and failed to react. City, sensing they were there for the taking, only increased their onslaught on the Chelsea goal and were rewarded with a third goal not long after.
Aguero capitalized on Barkley’s error for his second before Gundogan made it four with a low drive. The half ended that way, but Chelsea were truly stunned.
Aguero completed his hat trick in the 56th minute after Sterling was brought down in the area. That was the Argentine’s second successive hat trick after he scored three against Arsenal too.
Sterling finished off the game with his second in the 80th minutes to pile the agony on Sarri’s men.
That is Chelsea’s third successive away defeat without scoring.
After the whistle, Sarri went straight for the dugout and refused the customary handshake at the end of the game.
