Review: Arsenal vs Burnley FC

Arsenal vs Burnley  FC football match took place at the Emirates stadium yesterday January 22nd 2017, it was an away match for Burnley while Arsenal were at home. At the 58th minute, Shkrodan Mustafi headed in a volley from Mesut Ozil giving him his first goal for the club which gave Arsenal a point ahead of Burnley Fc.

All looked bright for the Arsenals till the 64th minute where Granit Xhaka two footed Steven Defour and got a red card leaving the Arsenals with ten men against eleven men, the heat came on Arsenal right about then with Burnley gunning for a draw.

An extra 7 minutes was added to the match amidst the criticisms from Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger complaining to the referee, the 92nd minute saw a penalty in favour of Burnley which led to an equaliser.


Then came the controversial goal which sealed the deal for Arsenals and brought them the 3 points required to move to 2nd place. A kick on the face in the box 18 gave a cool Alexis Sanchez the late penalty goal and a win for the Arsenal side. The 3 points they earned moved them to the 2nd position on the Epl table, while chelsea still retains the number one position.
