The much awaited forensic audit of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation has officially been handed over to the federal government by PriceWaterHouse, the agency to which the audit was saddled with.
The accounting firm PriceWaterHouse was given the job last year to audit the NNPC in line with allegations made by the then Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as to the “disappearance” of $20 billion.
The senior partner of PriceWater while presenting the report to the President yesterday said that, “It is a privilege for us to have carried out this exercise on behalf of the government and I hope that you will find this report useful.”
It is thought that the Federal Government will make the findings of the report public very soon.
