President Buhari – Ministerial Sackings Will Be Continuous
President Muhammadu Buhari has said the sacking of ministers will be a continuous process. This comes hours after he sacked the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Nanono, and Power Minister, Saleh Mamman on Wednesday, 1st September 2021.
He said; “Change is the only factor that is constant in every human endeavour and as this administration approaches its critical phase in the second term, I have found it essential to reinvigorate this cabinet in a manner that will deepen its capacity to consolidate legacy achievements.
“Accordingly, a few cabinet changes, marking the beginning of a continuous process, have been approved”.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abubakar has been delegated to oversee the Agriculture ministry, while the Minister of State for Works, Abubakar Aliyu will oversee the Power ministry.
This is the first time President Buhari would be reshuffling his cabinet since he was elected for a first term in office in 2015.
