A pastor and two others, have been arrested by operatives of the Niger State Police Command, for conspiracy and possession of N15.8million counterfeit currency notes.
According to DSP Wasiu Abiodun, spokesperson of the command, the suspects, Emmanuel Akazuwa, 42, Pastor Sabastine Dabu, 48, and Umar Mohammed, 50, were arrested at a hotel in Kontagora, in possession of one thousand naira notes to the tune of fifteen million, eight hundred and thirty thousand naira (N15,830,000) suspected to be counterfeit.
One of the suspect, Emmanuel, claimed that he bought the fake currency from one Nifom presently at large at Katsina-Ala in Benue State at the rate of one hundred and fifty thousand naira,
