Recently, friends and associates of the late socialite, Molade Okoya-Thomas, gathered at Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos Island for a memorial service in honor of a man many described as a colossus of his time.

The former Chancellor of Lagos State University and sports enthusiast, Molade Alexandria Okoya-Thomas, FCTA, MFR, OFR, KSS died at the age 79.

The well-attended memorial service was followed by a grand reception at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Guests in attendance include former PDP Governorship candidate for Lagos State Jimi Agbaje, Chief Ernest Shonekan, Chief Adekunle Ojora, Chief Razak Okoya and wife Sade Okoya, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Kemi Nelson, Chief Dele Momodu, Ali Baba among others.
