Popular On air personalities Yaw, Katherine Obiang and Lolo took to the stage to bring to life Elechi Amadi’s bestseller Pepper Soup.
Pepper Soup screened at Terra Kulture, Lagos and saw a number of celebrities attend the 3pm and 6pm screenings of the play. The celebrity guest list included leading playwright Opa Williams, Sahara Group’s Tonye Cole, Nollywood favorite; Nse Ikpe-Etim and Ghana’s Leonora Okine.
“I thoroughly enjoyed watching Pepper Soup. It was a wonderful performance; they had me in stitches. This is my second time at Pepper Soup and I will definitely see it again.” Nse comments.
Produced by Tuale Naija Media, Pepper Soup will be presented every Sunday in September and Executive Producers; Play factory have promised that it will definitely be a September to remember.
The past three screenings of Pepper Soup have been attended by folks from all walks of life. It has been a blend of the entertainment and corporate worlds. Kids were not left out of the fanfare as the family friendly Pepper Soup had a 3 year old clock in as the youngest audience member, so far.
“Pepper Soup was amazing; it passes across a powerful message in the most hilarious manner. It was a very exciting experience” Ghana born actor; Leonora Okine gushed.
The actors’ dazzling performance was frequently interrupted with laughter from the audience.
Others like MNET’S Rogers Ofime, fast rising act Timix, actors KC Ejelonu and Uzor Osimkpa, OAP Tosyn Bucknor and Nigerian Idol winner Moses were full of praises for the actors
So far Lolo, Katherine Obiang, Tuebi Abidde, Carla Chidiac, Ogbolor, Caitlin Conaly and Mc/Comedian; Cee y have stepped on stage to thrill the audience.
“The show was a massive hit and the turnout was very impressive” said Business Project Manager and Actor; Katherine Obiang. She added, “I’m very pleased, everything went according to plan. We’re certainly looking forward to the next two weeks and we can only get better”
Peppersoup is directed by Olusola Roberts and stage managed by Obi Martins. It is the story of an upcoming musician who gets trapped in between two women as he weaves one impossible tale after the other. There is a meddlesome friend and an overly inquisitive servant who further complicate matters.
