WizKid and Davido’s beef took a new turn at the just concluded One Africa Music Fest held in Dubai last night.
Our team on ground can exclusively report to you how it all happened.
But first, we must mention here that the fracas had nothing to do with the simmering beef between the two superstars, but rather their camps.
The sold-out concert started on a high note until when Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are and Tekno had an altercation backstage.
It all started when Are had insisted that Tiwa Savage must perform before Tekno, and once she’s about to round up, she’ll invite Wizkid to join her on stage and perform their latest collaboration, Ma lo.
After their collaboration, Wizkid will then be joined by his band for his performance. That arrangement even though sound professional, was rejected by the organizers who wanted Wizkid to close the show. Unknown to Tiwa, Wizkid got on stage to perform Ma Lo with her.

This of course didn’t go down well with Tekno who had been itching to perform. The singer walked up to Sunday Are and disrespectfully greeted him. Sunday Are reacted to this by ignoring the greeting, then Tekno felt slighted and poured his drink on him, insulting the man in the process.
Both parties were later calmed as the show went on.
Meanwhile, after shutting down the One Africa Music Fest stage with his electrifying performance, Wizkid exited the building.
By then Davido and his 15-man entourage had just arrived the venue.
Within minutes, word reached the 30 Billion gang of what transpired between Wizzy’s team and Tekno.
Although, Davido did not react to the incident, some of his guys took it upon themselves to confront Wizkid, who was about leaving the venue in a Bentley.
We can confirm that one of Davido’s entourage approached Wizkid’s car to threaten him.
This threat did not go down well with the Starboy entourage as fracas broke out between the two camp.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, both camps were seen throwing punches and appear to tackle one another after the backstage incident.

In another development, Sarkodie refused to perform after feeling slighted by Nigeria’s pop stars.
The Ghanaian rapper was billed to perform after Tiwa Savage but before her set could finish Wizkid had joined her onstage and segued into his own performance. He was then told he would go on after Tekno. Again, Tekno’s performance ended with Davido forcing his way into the stage; leaving Sarkodie stranded for the third time.
It was at this point Sarkodie decided he was no longer going to perform.
