In his interview with Christiana Amanpour last night, President Buhari spoke on a range on issues including the crucial issue of terrorism in Nigeria.
The terrorist group Boko Haram has killed over 400 people since President Buhari took power on May 29. President Muhammadu Buhari admitted that “nothing will work until Nigeria is secure”, he explained that the Multinational Joint task force will bring change to the fight against terrorism.
He again repeated that investigations are ongoing into allegations of Human rights abuse against the Nigerian military.
He also answered questions on the missing Chibok girls, who haven’t been found one year after.
He did not rule out the possibility of negotiating with Boko Haram for the return of the girls.President Buhari is on a four day visit to the United states to discuss U.S assistance with fighting terrorism as well as corruption.
