Arsenal beat North London Rivals, Tottenham 4-2 to win and leapfrogged them into 4th place on the table, with a better goal difference.
In the lead up to the game, Tottenham manager, Pochettino added fuel to the palpable animosity between the two clubs when he said Chelsea was more of a rival to Tottenham than Arsenal.
The result was a great not only filled with passion that oftentimes boiled over to hatred. It was a game for the neutrals and deafening beating of the heart for fans of both clubs.
But Arsenal prevailed and showed throughout the game to be the better side despite conceding two goals in quick successions towards the end of the firsts half.
Arsenal took the lead early on through an Aubameyang spot kick but were pegged back by a Dier header in the near post.
And Spurs took the lead less than 5 minutes later when Son was adjudged to have been brought down by Heading in the area. Replays showed the South Korean dived. But Mike Dean pointed to the spot and Kane scored from the spot to give spurs the lead going into half time.
Arsenal made a change at half time. Emery brought in Ramsey and Lacassete and it was an inspired move. Ramsey flick to Aubameyang was met with a first time effort that left Lloris scrambling.
Arsenal soldiered and looked for the winning goal and were soon rewarded.
Ramsey ribbed Dier of the ball and threaded a perfect pass to Lacazette, who slipped as he was about taking the shot but still found the net, helped by a slight deflection.
New boy, torreira completed the scoreline after he was released by Aubametang in the edge of the area. His celebration was one of ecstasy and summed up the the emotions of Arsenal fans everywhere. The enemy has been defeated.
