Noble Igwe, Kaylah Oniwo, Onah Nwachukwu and Others Attend Veba Fashion Show

At an exclusive event, Veba Textile Mills unveiled its new collection from the mystic lines. The event which was well attended by fashion influencers and fashion lovers, was a perfect blend of fashion and good music.

The brand had its designs made by 6 fashion designers – Elan Fashion, Dozzy Couture, Tayo Coture, Yetty D, Pearl Chucks and Jorqe Blaq, while the host of the event, Mercy Ajisafe had her dress made by Moofa Designs. There was the energetic performance of Femileye and the subtle renditions by Naomi Mac.

Speaking on the new collection, Jana Masinova, the head of Veba Sales, worldwide says,

“Our new collection is from the mystic lines and consists of printed designs on a brocade. The design of the basic fabric are stripes and these are overprinted by several designs in various colourways. Wearing these fabrics you can see at certain angles that the stripes show up and also disappear. That is why we call them Mystic Lines”.  


At the end of the show, the judges, Godson Ukaegbu, Jana Masinova, Jane Michael Ekanem and Lubica Hoskova, selected the best designs, Best female model and the best male model whom the organisers rewarded with the sum of Fourty Thousand Naira each. Best designs was by Elan fashion, the best female model was Chinemerem and the best male model was Dubem Okafor.

Some of the guests spotted at the event were Derin Fabikun, Mimi Onalaja, Noble Igwe, Onah Nwachukwu, Anthonia Soares, Moofa, Theresa Onwuka, Kennedy Okonkwo, Alhaji Dawodu, Yemi Odofin, Favor Olugu, Ugo of MakeMe, Franka Asindi and many others. The best dressed guest as selected by the judges was Vivienne Odofin, and was equally rewarded by the organisers.

Veba Textile Mills is an European company based in Czech republic and is way over 150 years, when the first mill with mechanical looms was established. Its designs are not printed but inwoven as the company produces high quality brocades, voiles and printed brocades made of the finest cotton in the world, i.e. Egyptian cotton. Its showroom is located at 386 Muritala Mohammed Way in Yaba, Lagos.
