NIGERIANS REACT TO COURT’S DISMISSAL OF BUSOLA DAKOLO’S CASE AGAINST PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO
Photographer and wife of Nigerian singer, Busola Dakolo is currently trending online.
A few hours ago, it was reported that a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Bwari has dismissed the suit she filed against the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo.
She was also ordered to pay N1m for wasting the court’s time.
Busola had accused the pastor of raping her when she was just a teenager. According to her, Fatoyinbo’s action caused her a lot of trauma and affected her marital sex life.
Over three months after she came out with her story and filed a case against the pastor, judgment has been delivered and to the disappointment of many, the case was in favour of Fatoyinbo.
Following this, Nigerians have taken to Twitter, to share their views about the matter.

Once again, the judicial system has failed women. It has failed Busola Dakolo , same way it has failed victims all around the country.

Dear Busola Dakolo,
At this point, the verdict of the people is better than the verdict of the court.

No matter the cause, one of the effects of this judgment in Busola Dakolo's case is that a lot of women who are the victims of sexual assault will think "What if I lose & I'm asked to pay a fine?" before they determine not to speak up.
And that's just sad

Busola Dakolo loses her case, court orders her to pay Fatoyinbo 1 million naira in Damages.
Nigerian law can be amusing sometimes.
Sadly the rape apologists will have a fun day over this judgement.— {/esq} (@RickAnji) November 14, 2019
