The Nigerian Army Women Corps (NAWC) says it has finalized arrangements to hold its Field Training Exercise (FTX) from August 27 to September 2. The Nigerian Army Women Corps (NAWC) has disclosed it will hold a seven-day Field Training Exercise (FTX) for its troops in Giri-Gwagwalada general area, Abuja.
The field training exercise will begin on Saturday, August 27 till September 2, 2022, according to a statement issued by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations NAWC, Captain, Hashimu Sa’ad Abdullahi.
In a statement dated Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Abdullahi urged communities around Gwagwalada, Giri, Tugan Maji, Ana-Gada, Gudumba, Tagilogo, and Makalma in Abuja, not to panic on seeing a mass movement of military personnel, vehicles, and equipment in the area.
It added that the training delivers a platform to ascertain troops’ preparedness for supporting all the Nigerian Army’s engagements.
The statement partly read: “The Nigerian Army Women Corps (NAWC) will commence a 7-day Field Training Exercise (FTX) for its troops from 27 August – 2 September 2022 in Giri-Gwagwalada general area, Abuja.
“The exercise is designed to test the troop’s Leadership skills, Physical fitness, Teamwork, and Military Operations Other than War among other military drills. The exercise would also provide a platform to ascertain troops’ preparedness for supporting all the Nigerian Army’s engagements.
“Consequently, communities living around Gwagwalada, Giri, Tugan Maji, Ana-Gada, Gudumba, Tagilogo, and Makalma in Abuja are enjoined not to panic on seeing the mass movement of military personnel, vehicles, and equipment in the general area from 27 August – 2 September 2022.
