The Nigeria Customs Service has announced that petroleum should not be supplied to filling stations living within 20 kilometres of the border.
A statement from the Comptroller General of Customs circulating the internet stated that no petroleum product should be discharged no matter the tank size.
According to the government, the closure of borders is to limit foreign products into the country but it seem to be taking a toll on the country’s economy as Nigerians are already complaining of a shortage of rice and other necessary products.
