The New Media Conference (NMC) has announced keynote speakers for the second edition of School Debate taking place on Friday, June 24, 2022, which includes award-winning Nigerian choreographer and dancer, Kafayat Shafau also known as Kaffy, award-winning content creator and influencer Rodney and Corporate Communications Manager for Anglophone West Africa at Meta Sola Obagbemi.
The school debate is organized by New Media Conference convener, Tosin Ajibade-Oladeinde which is to inform and educate students about changes in the new media industry.
According to the convener, Nigerian dancer and choreographer Kaffy Shafau, Rodney Umeh and Sola Obagbemi from Meta will be judging the debate topic, themed ‘Social Media And The Classroom: Does Social Media Enrich Education or take away from Education?’
This year’s edition will be taking place at Chalcedony School, Abijo G.R.A, Ibeju Lekki and will be starting by 9 am.
NMC is an annual networking event that focuses on digital marketers, vloggers, podcasters, influencers, content creators, bloggers, tech enthusiasts, and more in the field of media and communications.
The conference is an effort to educate and inform students about changes in the new media industry and organize school debates to further enlighten them about the industry.
