Songbird, Tonye, attempts a step into the no-holds-barred waters of reggae sounds, and she enlists the obvious candidate for her exploits.
Not so regular the sound of this, it is a chilling piece nonetheless. There are no real banging beats on it; still it serves its purpose as should. She brings out her ‘Rihanna-Man Down’ personality on this, something somewhat new from her. And it’s fine. Really.
Her song writing herein is weak though, Timaya’s isn’t any special neither, but in all this should scratch some reasonable surface given the relevant push. The song is soft and absorbing in terms of its cooling effects. Not so original the sound of this, it still passes for an okay effort. Listen to this without spiked expectations and you should be well served.
