Our favorite street rapper drops this one on us and it features the foremost Mavin front liner, Don Jazzy.
“Skelemba” is regular, pedestrian and not exactly the hit we’d expect. Is this going to break any ice? Hard to tell. But if Olamide is going to remain relevant in the scheme of things, this isn’t the sort of song to serve a hungry, selective fan base, not like music is any hard to come by today. And let me quickly add – Don Jazzy or not a bad piece is what it is.
The beats are catchy, with drops of percussion instruments, but lyrically this one is a weak ass effort. Jazzy comes in a little after the second minute but isn’t armed enough to help Ola dispatch the effort masterfully. Both Artistes leave this one uncooked and hurriedly exit the kitchen, perhaps in a bid to rearm with better condiments and return for a kill, who knows? Hugely pedestrian, this one, it could have been way better than this lackluster offering given the right composition and lyrical balance.
Listen and rate, a Hit or a Miss?
