A Galaxy far far away is being celebrated today! Every year, on the 4th of May thousands of fans around the world, are united by their love for the star wars movies
The unofficial holiday is celebrated by hosting star wars themed parties or rewatching the films.
The first celebration of Star Wars Day took place in Toronto in 2011 and after Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, the holiday has been observed yearly at Disneyland and Walt Disney World ever since.
Devoted fans are connected from all over the world via the Internet, such that the star wars franchise has become a household name.
Fans gush about their favorite things about the show; from the Skywalker family saga to the various characters like Han Solo, Yoda, Chew bacca, and the lead villain of the show; Darth Vader
The popular phrase “May the force be with you” was first used in the movie by the rebel leader General Dodonna. Fans remixed the phrase such that it is now “May the fourth be with you” thereby correlating with the official Star Wars Day on May 4th.
If you are new to the Galaxy and would like to watch the star wars movies, here’s the order in which you should go:

Although the first Star Wars movie was released in 1977, it has lived on to this day.
This year, the celebrations will include the premiere of “The Book Of Boba Fett” on Disney Plus, allowing fans to see behind-the-scenes and never before seen footage.
Disneyland After Dark also has a special lineup of character guests for this year’s celebration.
