Here is a note from Nigerian Artiste Lamboginny who claims Five star Music and Goge Africa are selling his single ‘Meje’ illegally on itunes.
Apparently, the singer found out and released this statement to go public and let people know his single selling on iTunes is not from him.
He has better plans. Read below;
JUST FOUND OUT MY SINGLE MEJE #7 IS SELLING ON ITUNES FOR $1.29 WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE BY EITHER GOGE AFRICA, FIVE STAR MUSIC OR BOTH OF THEM.
Sometime during the week I was informed that one of my new music material Meje is selling on iTunes but i thought it was just a joke because I just finished signing an international digital distribution deal with “ a Canadian distribution company” for the distribution of my songs, videos and my better part! I mean the video cuts from my humanitarian projects and that wont kick off until mid June but on a second thought I decided to go on iTunes, so I found my song is selling at $1.29 by Goge Africa and Five Star Music without my knowledge. I am not signed under Goge Africa or 5Star Music, so why would they be selling my song? The leading single from my forthcoming album, and a song handpicked to lead my first digital sale online for that matter. We can’t make good money from Alaba Market, we give our songs out to bloggers for free download and iTunes which is our little hope of good record sales and now they are trying to take that away too? NO WAY! I AM GOING TO FIGHT THIS TO THE VERY END. My legal team is coming at you… Why rip me off
my intellectual property! Kilode”
Yes! Kcee and Soso Soborekan have called to disassociate Five Star Music from the evil act and as well vouch to join in the hunt and bring the culprit down to justice with their brand name been the signature behind the iTunes upload. But as far as my team and me are concerned, and if the information of upload on iTunes is genuine, then it is a shame that this is been done to us by one of us.
#Note: I have decided to go public because for how long are we going to continue working and someone somewhere will be feeding fat on us. Also because we need to join hands together to put a stop the problem of piracy and plagiarism. Goge Africa can as well come out to put up a public disclaimer on this if they truly know nothing about it as done by 5 Star Music.
