Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff is facing the possibility of impeachment after the Speaker of Brazil’s lower house alleged fiscal irresponsibility.
Brazil’s economy is in dire straits and Dilma Rousseff is increasingly unpopular as the opposition tries to unseat her.
Eduardo Cunha has accused the President of violating fiscal laws to finance her reelection campaign. Rousseff has lost public trust following a corruption scandal involving Petrobas, the state owned oil firm.
“I haven’t committed any wrongful act,” Rousseff said, knowing that if 2/3rd of the lower house vote in favor of the motion, It would move forward.
