An Appeal court ruling on Thursday sacked the Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu and declared Alex Otti the winner of the governorship election.
The Appeal court ordered INEC to swear in the APGA candidate, Alex Otti as governor of Abia state.
Ikpeazu has disclosed that while he has been informed of the decision of the appeal court, he will head to the Supreme Court to challenge the judgment.
In
a press statement released today, he said “I have instructed my Lawyers to take steps to file an immediate Appeal at the Supreme Court, I wish to assure all Abians that all is well. I remain the Governor of Abia State until the Supreme Court reaffirms my mandate which was freely given to me by the good people of Abia State during the elections.”
