Hungary’s Prime Minister has urged Syrian refugees to stop making the trip to Europe to seek assylum. His comments today comes on the heels of a crisis in Europe as millions of refugees flood Germany, Hungary and even Greece seeking new homes.
Viktor Orban said today that there is no guarantee that the refugees would be granted assylum and urged the refugees to stay in Turkey instead. He also insisted that Hungary will maintain their immigration laws especially following Hungary erecting a border fence to keep out migrants.
Orban is notoriously outspoken about his hard line stance on immigration policies and intends to submit a bill to Parliament asking to fast track new immigration laws to prevent refugees from being granted asylum.
He also insisted that the current crisis is a “German problem since no one wants to stay in Hungary”
