Gov Okorocha’s son-in-law, Nwosu wins APC governorship ticket in Imo
Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff and son in-law to the outgoing governor, Okorocha has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the 2019 governorship election in the state.
The former Chief of Staff polled 269, 524 to defeat eight other contestants.
Chairman of the Imo State APC governorship primaries, Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Agbabiaka (rtd), who made the announcement of the results at about 3.30 am on Sunday morning, said that all the nine aspirants contested in the governorship election.
Nwosu’s closest rival was Chuks Ololo, who polled 6428 votes, while the Deputy Governor. Eze Madumere got 2, 646 votes.
