Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu met the Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens in the United States on Sunday night. The two met to continue a five-decade-old sister-city relationship.
At the meeting, Sanwo-Olu spoke on different areas of the alliance such as education, technology, sports, and entertainment.
The governor, on Monday, posted photos of the meeting on Twitter.
He said, “Lagos and Atlanta have been known to enjoy over fifty years’ sister-cities relationship, which we had not utilized to best of its capacity.
“Last night, I met with Mr. Andre Dickens, the Mayor of Atlanta to discuss new and innovative ways to renew the age-long relationship.
“At the meeting, we touched on different areas of collaboration such as education, technology, sports, and entertainment. And agreed to work together on other mutually beneficial areas for the development of the two cities.”
The leaders agreed to work together on other mutual areas for the growth of the two cities.
