Nigeria’s digital transformation leader, Globacom, has completely retooled its Caller Ring Back tunes for optimum enjoyment of its subscribers and their callers.
Globacom’s Caller Ring Back Tune (CRBT) has made waves in the telecom scene since it was introduced many years ago.
In a press statement released in Lagos, Globacom said the renewal of the company’s CRBT was motivated by a need to significantly enhance the calling experience of millions of its subscribers.
“With a bouquet of over 50,000 music genres, from modern day music to the songs of yester-years, Glo caller tunes service is set to provide entertainment and fun for all ages”, the operator said. Globacom said the retooled CRBT service will serenade callers of Glo subscribers, adding that the subscribers are completely in control of the selection of songs to play to their callers.
Consequently, Glo subscribers are able to reflect their unique identity and personal style through their caller ring back tune. The operator’s CRBT holds a rich repertoire of songs under a wide range of genres such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, Dancehall, Rock, Rap, Pop, Jazz, Reggae, Raga, Blues, Gospel, Islam, Fuji, Apala, Juju and Afrobeat, among others. Glo subscribers are able to download up to 5 different tunes. They can also assign all friends and colleagues to any 4 of the 5 tunes, while the fifth tune can be devoted to other callers.
Globacom has also made it possible for a subscriber to gift Glo caller tunes to loved ones. Subscribers are required to dial *7728# to get on the platform and browse for songs of their choice. They can also dial 7728 to listen to the voice prompt and subscribe to their preferred songs. On the other hand, they can send SMS ‘REG’ to 7728 to access the service.
