It’s Fab fashion Tuesday and we just thought to bring in a few tips. Tips for those meeting the Special One’s Parents for the first time…
So we know some of us ladies will be meeting his parents officially for the first time this independence holiday and just might need a few pointers in the what-to-wear section…
Dress for the outing: Is it a casual evening or a big family gathering? Don’t bring out your best lace when you know you’re just going to be in the sitting room all through. If its a party, you know you shouldn’t put on flip-flops right? And please no tear-tear, ripped jeans
Bags: Think not too big (they’ll wonder what kind of baggage you’re carrying) but big enough to hold everything you need—including makeup for touchups.
Help Out: You should offer to help out in the kitchen and so you need to go there dressed comfortably. Offer to help in the kitchen and dress comfortably too. Don’t wear shoes that wont allow you move about freely.
Skimpy or Clingy Clothing are a no-no: Any tight and revealing outfit that your partner loves so much might not go down well in his mother’s mind. Keep your cleavage under wraps and your everything above the knees too.
Tone down on makeup and jewellery: Yes he loves your makeup but why don’t you go for nude lipstick instead of that Red Amazon woman lipstick. a simple chain will do, you don’t want them thinking you’re out to steal their son’s money.
Going white: Yes some might be thinking its independence why don’t I look patriotic, well this number would look good on you…
Bring a Gift: A fruit basket will be nice and if his father is a wine connoisseur, you could get him a vintage that’s not too expensive.
Happy #FabTuesday!!!
