In a week filled with unfortunate terrorist attacks all over the world from Iraq, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia to even the Gaza strip, Turkey has joined this unenviable list.
A suicide bomber in Turkey today detonated an explosive device which claims 27 lives, with at least 100 people also reported injured.
The explosion went off in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border and there are speculations that the attack was staged by the Islamic state fundamentalist group.
The attack on the border town is thought to be motivated by the fact that Suruc is a haven for refugees even as fighting ISIS militants and Kurdish fighters has escalated.
