The Premier League continue to dominate their European counterparts on the financial front, according to a new Uefa report published on Friday.
Thirteen English teams feature in the top 30 wealthiest clubs in Europe with Manchester United coming top of the list despite their struggles on the pitch in the period.
Other English Clubs in the top ten are Manchester City (5th), Arsenal (7th), Liverpool (8th) and Chelsea (9th).
Premier League clubs’ aggregate revenue was 5.3bn euros, which is comfortably more than La Liga (2.9bn euros), Bundesliga (2.8bn), Serie A (2.1bn) and Ligue 1 (1.6bn).
The Premier League’s advantage was mainly fueled by the television revenue increasing by 47% to £2.8 billion. The league has also raised a whopping £8.3 billion for 2019 to 2022 seasons, which is a 20% increase on the previous deal.
