The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), has dismissed the motion filed by former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, asking the chairman, Danladi Umar, to recuse himself from adjudicating in the case before the tribunal.
Danladi Umar dismissed the motion for lack of merit.
The tribunal also dismissed Onnoghen’s application challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear the matter.
The tribunal said it was not under the supervision of the National Judicial council (NJC) but the Presidency.
