In celebration of Children’s Day, the #netsafe campaign will visit schools from Tuesday, May 23 – Wednesday, May 31 2017 in the cities of Lagos, Jos and Abuja.
The 20-minute talk session will be made up of student reps from each class, teachers, members of staff and the PTA – to shed light on the campaign as well as to draw support into promoting healthy habits over the internet by using the hashtag #netsafe.
Confirmed institutions to be visited within the #netsafeedutour week include Queens’ College, Chrisland Senior High School, Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School, Immaculate Heart Comprehensive Senior High School, Ajigbeda Girls Secondary School and a host of other public senior secondary schools – all in Lagos, as well as Primegate Academy and Primegate College in Abuja and Rantya Model School and Remus Private School in Jos.
The #netsafe campaign is a W.I.S.E (Women In Sustainable Enterprise) Initiative aimed at promoting and projecting against the misuse and negative consumption of the internet in our community; while shedding more positive light on the pros of internet usage.
This project targets the entire family unit – addressing the concerns of parents, teaching general practice to the middle aged, and curbing the excesses of the young and impressionable.
