President Buhari on Tuesday shaded former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his failed third term agenda.
The President accused Obasanjo of seeking an unconstitutional third term in office while addressing traditional rulers in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
He said he is only seeking for a second term in office which is constituitional and not more.
According to him, he is only seeking to be President for another four years and after then, nothing more.
“We have just finished one term and are seeking a second one, and after that, the Constitution doesn’t permit any more,’
“There are some who tried looking for more but they did not succeed.” he was quoted as saying by Tolu Ogunlesi, who is head of digital communication for the President.
PMB in Akure now, addressing the State Council of Obas.
“We have just finished one term & are seeking a second one, & after that the constitution doesn’t permit any more.
There are some who tried looking for more but they did not succeed. We should learn from their mistakes.”— tolu ogunlesi (@toluogunlesi) February 5, 2019
