Kelly Davidson is only 34 years old, but she’s already battled — and beaten — cancer three times. The Canadian woman had Hodgkin lymphoma as a child, and breast and thyroid cancer in her late 20s.
Davidson had to have a double mastectomy, but instead of having her breasts reconstructed, she opted for something different: a tattoo that extends from her collarbone to the middle of her chest.
“I have this beautiful piece of art that I get to look at every day, and it doesn’t bother me to think that I don’t have breasts,” she said. Davidson posted a picture of her inspirational design to Why We Ink, a Facebook group for cancer survivors who commemorate their own courage with tattoos
